A Symposium on Emerging TechnologiesHeld on February 23, 2018, Friday
The first quarter of 2018 has been an eventful period for Awareness in Action. Known for its unique programmes intended to provide proper guidance and direction to the participants, AiA organized a Symposium on Emerging Technologies at JNTUH auditorium on February 23. Aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry, AiA brought together students, academicians and eminent persons from the industry during the symposium. Associate Director of the Defence Electronics & Research Laboratory (DLRL), Dr. M. Balachary inaugurated the daylong symposium, while general manager of Bharat Electronics Limited, Shri MV Rattayya addressed the participants at the inaugural session. Dr. V. Kamakshi Prasad, Director of Evaluation, JNTUH gave the key note address.
Founder and CEO of Glomantra Inc., Bhaskar Enaganti gave an insight to the participants on artificial intelligence, while senior data analyst, Dr. Ramabrahmam shared his knowledge on data science during first session.
Associate Director of e-Security R&D, C-DAC, P.R. Lakshmi Eswari spoke on Cyber Security and Block Chain Technology during second session, while outstanding scientist of DRDO, Dr. BRK Reddy shared his knowledge on RF seekers and systems and Director of Ananth Technologies, Dr. Satyanarayana Malladi spoke about signal processing and trends in optometrics during the third session.
Director General of STPI, Dr. Omkar Rai, chief guest, outstanding scientist of DRDO, Dr. G.N. Rao, guest of honour and Director, University Industry Interaction Centre, JNTUH, Dr. Ch. Venkata Ramana Reddy, special guest, addressed the participants at the valedictory. About 460 Professionals, Academicians and students from reputed organisations and institutions across the city registered and attended the symposium meant for connecting students with industry experts.
